{"id":2111,"date":"2016-04-06T09:01:39","date_gmt":"2016-04-06T13:01:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/nbcuniversal-movies-head-to-club-illico\/"},"modified":"2016-04-06T15:23:31","modified_gmt":"2016-04-06T19:23:31","slug":"nbcuniversal-movies-head-to-club-illico-in-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvcanada\/nbcuniversal-movies-head-to-club-illico-in-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"NBCUniversal Movies Head to Club illico in Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MONTREAL: NBCUniversal Television &amp; New Media Distribution Canada and Quebecor Content have closed a deal that sees recent movie releases from NBCUniversal become available on\u00a0French-language Canadian VOD service Club illico.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement includes the French versions of popular NBCUniversal movies such as <em>Fast and Furious 6<\/em> (<em>Rapides et dangereux 6<\/em>), <em>Despicable Me 2<\/em> (<em>D\u00e9testable Moi 2<\/em>), <em>Kick Ass 2<\/em>, <em>R.I.P.D.\u00a0<\/em>(<em>RIP D\u00e9partement<\/em>),\u00a0<em>The Purge<\/em> (<em>La Purge<\/em>), <em>The Purge: Anarchy<\/em> (<em>La Purge 2<\/em>), <em>A Million Ways to Die in the West<\/em> (<em>Mille et une fa\u00e7ons de mourir dans l\u2019Ouest<\/em>), <em>47 Ronin<\/em> (<em>47 Ronin<\/em>), <em>Ride Along<\/em> (<em>Mise \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve<\/em>), <em>Non-Stop<\/em> (<em>Sans arr\u00eat<\/em>), <em>Endless Love<\/em> (<em>Un amour infini<\/em>) and <em>Neighbors<\/em> (<em>Les voisins<\/em>), among others. Titles from the studio covered in the agreement join content that is\u00a0already available to Club illico subscribers, including series such as <em>Blue Moon<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Bates Motel<\/em>, <em>Boomerang<\/em>, <em>Sons of Anarchy<\/em> and <em>American Horror Story<\/em>. Club illico also offers children\u2019s titles such as <em>Robin des bois<\/em>, <em>Spider-Man<\/em> and <em>Les Daltons<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are happy to continue our strong and successful relationship with Quebecor Content,\u201d said Ron Suter, the executive VP of NBCUniversal Television &amp; New Media Distribution Canada. \u201cIt is exciting to have several of our Universal films available to Club illico subscribers to view in the French language.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cQuebecor Content\u2019s goal is to offer its viewers the best content and we are proud to be able to enhance our impressive catalogue with movies from NBCUniversal, a very important partner to us,\u201d added France Lauzi\u00e8re, the senior VP of Quebecor Content and VP of programming at TVA Group.<\/p>\n<p>Marie Ginette Lepage, the VP of marketing for content and broadcasting at Videotron, commented: \u201cThe addition of such popular new titles from NBCUniversal to our platform shows that studios are increasingly interested in new content delivery models.
