MUMBAI: Marking its international foray, Reliance Broadcast Network’s BIG Magic International has launched in Canada, delivering entertainment shows and daily business news targeted at the country’s South Asian diaspora.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Reliance partnered with Ethnic Channels Group (EGCL) to bring the service to Canada. The programming mix will include daily sitcoms, dramas, crime series and news from Bloomberg UTV India. Key shows from the BIG Magic channel in India that will be airing on the channel include Hum Hai Bajrangee<\/em>, Police Files<\/em>, Nadaaniyaan<\/em> and Hasya Panchayat <\/em>and reality series BIG Bal Kalakaar <\/em>and BIG Memsaab<\/em>. Also to be featured are India’s Sexiest Bachelor<\/em>, India’s Glam Diva<\/em>, I Love Style<\/em>, BIG Hindustan Rising Star Awards, BIG Hindustani Music Awards and BIG Bangla Music Award.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tarun Katial, the CEO of Reliance Broadcast Network, said, “We are happy to reach out to the Canadian market with BIG Magic International which has been designed to fulfill the need gaps in the infotainment genre for South Asian audiences there. The channel will bring an increasing variety of fresh and relevant programming to the viewers which will include not just entertainment but also daily business updates from India. With this move, we are optimizing the use of our robust and extensive content library to reach out to both viewers and marketers in the market. The launch of BIG Magic Internatioal opens new and exciting opportunities for the execution of our expansion and growth strategy.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
