Singapore\u2019s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has partnered with the Association of Independent Producers (AIPRO) to co-lead a delegation of 17 Singapore media companies, with over 460 hours of content, to MIPCOM.<\/p>\n
Among the animated titles to be presented is Scrawl Animation\u2019s Alex Player<\/em>, an animated action-adventure tween series centered on a 12-year-old video gamer who has to balance life in school and trying to win the national esports interschool championship.<\/p>\n Blu Mushroom\u2019s Oceanheart<\/em> tells the story of an introverted 6-year-old girl who falls into the ocean with a powerful magical amulet. It features the themes of love, friendship and sacrifice.<\/p>\n From August Media, Sherlock Sam<\/em>, based on a popular Singaporean children\u2019s novel series, sees Sam and his friends solve problems through teamwork.<\/p>\n Downstairs<\/em>, an adult animated series from Robot Playground Media, is back for season three. It follows a cast of wacky and colorful coffee-shop stall owners.<\/p>\n On the drama slate is Infinite Studios\u2019 Losmen Melati<\/em>, about an old Dutch colonial plantation turned guest house where the lost, wandering and tired gather. In the Losmen\u2019s dark rooms, the guests\u2019 worst fears manifest, and there\u2019s no checking out.<\/p>\n The romantic comedy Venus on Mars<\/em> from Mocha Chai Laboratories centers on an undergraduate who is accidentally transported to a parallel universe called \u201cM-Earth,\u201d where only men live. As she struggles to find her way back to Earth, she has to navigate issues regarding gender equality, feminism, relationships and falling in love.<\/p>\n The drama offering also includes Jonesy<\/em>, from Monochromatic Pictures. It features a high-functioning Gen Zer, a talking monkey, motion-sensing spectral haze monsters and more.<\/p>\n Factual food titles include Beach House Pictures\u2019 Order Up!<\/em>, following Fresh Off the Boat<\/em> star Hudson Yang on a chef apprenticeship across America and Singapore; Mediacorp\u2019s Dishing with Chris Lee<\/em>, in which the Singaporean actor prepares meals for his famous guests; and Zero Waste Kitchen<\/em>, an homage to the ongoing Zero Waste Movement, where amateurs compete in a zero-waste cook-off.<\/p>\n Beach House Pictures\u2019 Silk Road From Above<\/em> takes viewers on a ride spanning continents, uncovering the stories of ancient travelers on the famous trade route.<\/p>\n The Moving Visuals Co.\u2019s documentaries We Don\u2019t Play Dolly<\/em>, exploring how India\u2019s blind women fight to find a place in the male-dominated world of cricket, and The Ugly Side of Beauty<\/em>, investigating the conflict and controversy behind the beauty industry and the struggle of mica miners, are on offer.<\/p>\n A second season of Mediacorp\u2019s When Titans Clash<\/em>, a report on how the ongoing war in Ukraine has left two superpowers divided, is available, as is season two of Climate for Change<\/em>, which watches how individuals and enterprises are bringing cleaner energy to new frontiers.
