{"id":6356,"date":"2022-03-28T09:37:23","date_gmt":"2022-03-28T13:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/reliance-entertainment-backs-new-content-studio\/"},"modified":"2022-03-28T13:44:52","modified_gmt":"2022-03-28T17:44:52","slug":"reliance-entertainment-backs-new-content-studio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/reliance-entertainment-backs-new-content-studio\/","title":{"rendered":"Reliance Entertainment Backs New Content Studio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>India&#8217;s Reliance Entertainment has established Dreamers &amp; Doers Co., a new content studio that is already working on an adaptation of the Irish thriller <em>Blood<\/em> for Disney+ Hotstar.<\/p>\n<p>The venture is being set up with an \u201cidea- and creator-first policy,\u201d and is working on bringing scripted and non-scripted formats to India, in addition to developing new ideas with creators, directors, showrunners and writers.<\/p>\n<p>Dreamers &amp; Doers Co. is being led by Namit Sharma, whose career has included stints at ZEE, Sony Entertainment Television and Yashraj Films. He has worked on a number of series with Reliance, including <em>Kaushiki<\/em>, <em>Girlfriends<\/em> and <em>Yo Ke Hua Bro<\/em> on Voot; and <em>Black Widows<\/em> on Zee5.<\/p>\n<p>Sharma, CEO of Dreamers &amp; Doers Co., noted, \u201cI am excited to take this new step in my journey with Reliance Entertainment. The studio feels like home and encourages executives like myself to dream big and make it all happen. I am thankful for this opportunity.
