He\u2019ll share how he continued to hone his skills and became an internationally successful comedian\u2014including how he landed his first-ever Netflix comedy special and his pitch for his third and latest Netflix special, <em>Jo Koy in His Elements<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The Academy Campus Masterclass will be streamed free of charge to film and TV students all around the world from Singapore\u2019s Nanyang Polytechnic studio on July 29 and 30.<\/p>\n<p>Michael McKay, Asian Academy Creative Awards president, said: \u201cJo\u2019s story is a great motivator for anyone starting off in the industry, or for those who are thinking of giving up, not sure if they can make it. He\u2019s one of the most generous performers I\u2019ve ever met and we\u2019re so thrilled that he has agreed to present a Masterclass for the Academy Campus event.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McKay added: \u201cLet\u2019s make this the biggest film and TV school in the world, open to students of the industry, no matter their situation, no matter where they live.
