The Asian Academy Creative Awards (AAA) has begun rolling out the 2020 Academy Campus training programs, for which Christine Fellowes, NBCU managing director of networks in AsiaPac, will continue as chairperson.<\/p>\n
The Academy Campus will kick off with its annual Producers\u2019 Summit on July 28, which will be hosted by E! Entertainment\u2019s Yvette King and celebrate the Asia Pacific\u2019s International Emmy past nominees and winners. Howie Lau, assistant chief executive for media and innovation at Infocomm Media Development Authority, will deliver the closing remarks. The summit will be complementary to industry professionals and AAA Members as well as a limited number of places reserved for film and TV students.<\/p>\n
Nanyang Polytechnic\u2019s studios will play host to the Producers\u2019 Summit and MasterClass at this year\u2019s Academy Campus, which will be beamed live via Zoom. The MasterClass series will be hosted by Singapore-based actor Bobby Tonelli (Westworld<\/em>) and staged over two mornings on July 29 and 30. The event will be free to students, thanks to support from the corporate sponsors and entrants of the Asian Academy Creative Awards.<\/p>\n Fellowes said: \u201cI\u2019m particularly passionate about the Academy Campus because it\u2019s so important to foster great creativity for the future of our industry and that\u2019s why so many of us are only too happy to get behind the AAA and its educational programs.\u201d<\/p>\n AAA CEO Fiona McKay said: \u201cWe are so grateful to have Christine\u2019s ongoing support as Chairperson of the Academy Campus because she makes a fantastic contribution in the area of skills development, especially for the students.\u201d<\/p>\n McKay added: \u201cThanks to Zoom, we can open up the Producers Summit and Masterclass series to film and TV industry professionals and students all around the world which is a great step forward for the Campus.\u201d<\/p>\n Michael Chetner, head of APAC at Zoom, said: “We’re delighted to be the technology partner of such prestigious awards recognizing excellence in craft and technical disciplines across such a diverse range of platforms.
