Travel restrictions due to COVID-19 have prompted the organizers of Hong Kong Filmart to move this year’s edition, previously postponed from March to August, entirely online.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host Filmart 2020 as a virtual event from August 26 to 29.<\/p>\n

“We all recognize the importance of maintaining entertainment market business momentum amid delayed productions, closed theatres and altered audience behavior,” said the HKTDC in a statement.<\/p>\n

The virtual event will give exhibitors dedicated company pages to showcase their titles and provide trailers. The platform will enable sellers to connect with buyers through virtual meetings.
