{"id":5801,"date":"2020-04-23T10:52:38","date_gmt":"2020-04-23T14:52:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/bbc-studios-xigua-video-enter-content-partnership\/"},"modified":"2020-04-23T12:47:03","modified_gmt":"2020-04-23T16:47:03","slug":"bbc-studios-xigua-video-enter-content-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/bbc-studios-xigua-video-enter-content-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"BBC Studios &amp; Xigua Video Enter Content Partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BBC Studios and ByteDance\u2019s Xigua Video have inked a multi-genre content partnership that includes the exclusive licensing of two brand-new BBC Studios documentaries in mainland China.<\/p>\n<p>This pact covers a number of BBC Studios\u2019 documentaries, dramas and children&#8217;s programming. <em>Blue Planet<\/em>, <em>Planet Earth<\/em>, <em>Frozen Planet<\/em>, <em>Bluey<\/em>, <em>Hey Duggee<\/em> and <em>Orphan Black<\/em> are among the titles landing on Xigua Video. The two brand-new documentaries, <em>Hubble: The Wonders of Space Revealed<\/em> and <em>Primates<\/em>, will be available exclusively on both Xigua Video and Toutiao, another ByteDance content platform in China.<\/p>\n<p>Lili Qian, general manager of the content cooperation center of Xigua Video, said: \u201cWe are committed to providing our users with a variety of contents and the best viewing experience possible. After the success of <em>Dracula<\/em>, we are offering more BBC Studios content, including two new visually-stunning documentaries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Phil Hardman, acting GM for Greater China at BBC Studios, added: \u201cThis content deal with Xigua Video in China takes our partnership to a new level and we\u2019re delighted that our bold, British and creative content will have such a strong presence.
