{"id":5410,"date":"2019-04-25T01:37:26","date_gmt":"2019-04-25T05:37:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/discovery-preps-digital-first-shows-china\/"},"modified":"2019-04-25T01:37:26","modified_gmt":"2019-04-25T05:37:26","slug":"discovery-preps-digital-first-shows-in-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/discovery-preps-digital-first-shows-in-china\/","title":{"rendered":"Discovery Preps Digital-First Shows in China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Discovery has unveiled three co-productions with digital platforms in China, including a local version of the <em>Say Yes<\/em> franchise with China Mobile\u2019s Migu.<\/p>\n<p><em>Say Yes to the Dress: China<\/em>, based on the TLC franchise, will encompass 12 episodes for launch on Migu video and IPTV and China Mobile OTT platforms. <em>First Man Out of China<\/em> is a six-part series, based on Discovery&#8217;s survival show, for bilibili with explorer and adventurer Ed Stafford. <em>The Day I Ran China<\/em>, featuring\u00a0young aspiring professionals from all over the world, will premiere on Mango TV&#8217;s digital platform in Q3. All shows will also air on Discovery\u2019s channels in China, Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia and other international markets.<\/p>\n<p>Tony Qiu, Discovery\u2019s VP and general manager for Greater China and Korea, said, \u201cDiscovery\u2019s winning formats and expertise in storytelling, coupled with the unique leverage that each of our partners brings, enables us to take our content, products and business beyond linear to an even wider audience.
