The winners of the inaugural ATF Chinese Pitch, third ATF Formats Pitch and second ATF Animation Pitch have been unveiled at Asia TV Forum.<\/p>\n
At the ATF Chinese Pitch, three winners\u2014from Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore\u2014were chosen from among the submissions. Each receives a cash prize of $3,500. Mulan, The Robot Girl<\/em> was one of three winners for theatrical movie. It tells the story of an 8-year-old girl who found herself to be a military robot, and took on the responsibility of defending her country when it was under attack by an enemy. One Night in Geylang<\/em>, which focuses on a hawker who caused a zombie crisis in Geylang overnight as a result of his selling illegal aphrodisiacs, was also recognized for its potential as a theatrical movie. The third selection is Please Do Something for this Land<\/em>, in which the lead character tries to save the dragonboat culture in his village.<\/p>\n The third ATF Formats Pitch was won by Serenade<\/em> from Malaysia-based production house phoSumpro!, which receives S$5,000 in cash to develop the idea. Using the imagery of Romeo and Juliet\u2019s balcony scene with a touch of cultural heritage as the backdrop, contestants serenade guest celebrities, and they can either be rained on with beautiful roses or have their passion doused with a bucket of ice-cold water.<\/p>\n In the ATF Animation Pitch, Galli Leo Lei<\/em> by PT Kumata Indonesia was selected as the winner.
