In partnership with Singapore’s\u00a0Perfect World Pictures, Asia TV Forum is launching a new pitching platform at this year’s event for Chinese-language content.<\/p>\n

The ATF Chinese Pitch is calling for concepts in three categories: theatrical movies, online movies and online drama series. It joins the existing\u00a0Formats Pitch and Animation Pitch at the event in Singapore. Producers have the opportunity to see their scripts bought, collaborated on or greenlit by third-party investors. S$15,000 will be offered for a straight buyout of the IP rights.<\/p>\n

“As the leading gateway into Asia, each edition of ATF offers new content from and for the region and beyond,” said\u00a0Yeow Hui Leng, group project director at ATF.\u00a0“Nurturing Asian talent is top of mind for us, and we feel very privileged to have Perfect World Pictures join hands with us for another quality platform that will allow Asian content creators to put forth their best ideas and concepts to fruition in China.”<\/p>\n

Perfect World Pictures CEO John Ho noted, “This unprecedented partnership reflects the shared cultural experiences that frame this new creative support, facilitating strategic business exchanges between China and the rest of Asia. I think bringing the best ideas from Asia into China is a natural surge, as the Chinese online streaming video market continues to grow and consumers are increasingly receptive to content diversity.”<\/p>\n
