{"id":4674,"date":"2018-01-09T11:11:58","date_gmt":"2018-01-09T16:11:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/australian-open-remain-fox-sports-four-years\/"},"modified":"2018-01-09T13:33:45","modified_gmt":"2018-01-09T18:33:45","slug":"australian-open-to-remain-with-fox-sports-for-four-more-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/australian-open-to-remain-with-fox-sports-for-four-more-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Australian Open to Remain with FOX Sports Asia for Four More Years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FOX Sports Asia has extended its long-term broadcast relationship with Tennis Australia for the Australian Open.<\/p>\n<p>The four-year renewal includes linear TV (pay and terrestrial) and OTT\/digital rights, covering Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar and Papua New Guinea. It will see the network broadcast the Australian Open live and exclusive from 2018 to 2021. The agreement also includes tournaments in the Australian Open Series\u2014Apia International Sydney (ATP), Brisbane International (ATP), the Hopman Cup and the World Tennis Challenge\u2014as well as the Laver Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Italo Zanzi, the executive VP and managing director of sports for APAC and the Middle East at FOX Networks Group, said: \u201cFOX Sports is proud to extend our relationship with Tennis Australia as the exclusive broadcast home in Asia for the Australian Open, a truly unique sporting event. We look forward to continuing to give fans the most compelling viewing experience across our entire network, including FOX Sports television channels, FOXSportsAsia.com and FOX+.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley added: \u201cOur tournament is much more than just the first Grand Slam of the year, as it marks the start of the global annual sporting calendar through four weeks of world-class events during Australia\u2019s summer of tennis and, of course, the beginning of the Grand Slam season.
