{"id":4492,"date":"2017-09-07T10:10:18","date_gmt":"2017-09-07T14:10:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/hooq-inks-exclusive-deal-disney\/"},"modified":"2017-09-07T13:02:05","modified_gmt":"2017-09-07T17:02:05","slug":"hooq-inks-exclusive-deal-with-disney","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/hooq-inks-exclusive-deal-with-disney\/","title":{"rendered":"HOOQ Inks Exclusive Deal with Disney"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HOOQ has secured the exclusive SVOD rights for three of Marvel\u2019s latest series\u2014<em>Inhumans<\/em>, <em>Runaways<\/em> and <em>Cloak and Dagger<\/em>\u2014for Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n<p>The VOD service will deliver the three series on the same day as the U.S. telecast on its platform for the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore. While the first chapter of <em>Marvel\u2019s Inhumans<\/em> was released last week worldwide in IMAX theaters, the following episodes will be available on HOOQ from the end of September, with additional exclusive content not seen in IMAX theaters. <em>Marvel\u2019s Runaways<\/em> will debut on digital on November 21. <em>Marvel\u2019s Cloak and Dagger<\/em> will be released later in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Bithos, the CEO of HOOQ, said: \u201cHOOQ is always looking for new ways and partnerships to bring exciting and quality content to our viewers. This tie-up with Disney, which now allows our viewers to catch their favorite series <em>Inhumans<\/em>, <em>Runaways<\/em> and <em>Cloak and Dagger<\/em> on the same day as the U.S. telecast is something we are very proud of and brings the world of Marvel\u2019s superheroes closer to Asia.
