Participants include Warner Bros., Sony, Viacom, Turner, TV Azteca, all3media, Fuji Creative and Tokyo Broadcasting System. Among the Chinese companies attending are national networks CCTV\/CITVC, Beijing TV, Jiangsu TV, Henan TV, Hunan TV, Shandong TV, SMG and Zhejiang TV. Online giants Alibaba Media Entertainment Group, Youku and Tencent Video will also be present. Local representatives of consumer brands L\u2019Or\u00e9al, Yili, Intel and Pepsi will attend one-on-one meetings with international companies.<\/p>\n<p>MIP China will feature a parallel two-day training conference for an additional 150 Chinese TV executives to learn how to develop content for international markets. The conference program will include showcases on what the international market is looking for, co-producing with China, formats, animation, VR and branded entertainment, as well as case studies on investment challenges in the international marketplace. Highlights will include a keynote from Geng Danhao, the senior VP of iQiyi. In addition, Ben Silverman, the chairman and co-CEO of Propagate Content, will deliver a keynote. Other noteworthy\u00a0participants include Pierre Cheung, the senior VP and general manager of Viacom China, and William Tan, the managing director of Endemol Shine China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe firmly believe that the time is right to foster creative partnerships between China\u2019s vibrant production community and international companies,\u201d said Ted Baracos, the director of MIP China. \u201cWe hope this event will provide valuable insight for Chinese media executives who want to bring their shows to the international market, and at the same time introduce international partners to the range of opportunities in the Chinese television sector. Our aim is to provide a forum where long-term business relationships are formed that are beneficial to all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MIP China has two new sponsors, Zhejiang Satellite TV and Hakim Unique Media.
