SYDNEY: Richard Freudenstein, the CEO and managing director of Foxtel, has been appointed as a non-executive director on the newly restructured board of Ten Network Holdings, effective tomorrow.<\/p>\n
TEN’s chairman, David Gordon, said: \u201cI welcome Richard to the board of TEN. His wealth of experience within the media industry, both here and overseas, will provide insight and assistance as we continue to develop TEN\u2019s growth strategy into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n
Freudenstein said: \u201cI am delighted to be joining the TEN Board at this exciting time for the network. Recent ratings performances have demonstrated the potential for further audience and revenue growth. I look forward to working with my board colleagues and TEN management to deliver on that potential.\u201d<\/p>\n
Christine Holgate,\u00a0Jack Cowin and Dean Hawkins have retired as directors, with effect from the close of the company\u2019s annual general meeting today. The board will now comprise six directors. Brian Long and Paul Gleeson have agreed to remain as directors of the company at this time. Further board changes are anticipated in 2016.<\/p>\n
Gordon commented: \u201cOn behalf of the entire board and the company, I would like to express my sincere thanks to each of Christine, Jack and Dean for their tremendous assistance and support during their time as directors, which in Jack\u2019s case extends over 22 years.<\/p>\n
