SYDNEY: The upcoming Paul Hogan biographical project being made by FremantleMedia Australia (FMA) for Channel Seven has secured significant funding from Screen Australia and Screen Queensland.<\/p>\n
The production tells the story of how Hogan, a once poor Australian tradesman, transformed into an Oscar-nominated star. It will be directed by Kevin Carlin (Wentworth<\/em>), with the script penned by Keith Thompson (The Sapphires<\/em>) and Marieke Hardy (Packed to the Rafters<\/em>). Casting is currently underway and filming is slated to begin early next year.<\/p>\n Julie McGauran, Seven’s head of drama, said: “From INXS<\/em> and Milat<\/em> to Peter Allen <\/em>and soon Molly<\/em>, Seven is proud to tell compelling Australian stories.
