\n\tSYDNEY: ABC Commercial has appointed Tony Iffland as general manager of ABC Content Sales, effective today.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn his new role, Iffland will contribute to ABC Commercial’s content sales business, leading the ABC Content Sales team in internationally distributing its slate of ABC-commissioned and independently acquired content across all genres, namely factual, children’s, drama, comedy, lifestyle and news and current affairs.<\/p>\n

\n\tPrior to joining ABC Commercial, Iffland served as the director of television at SBS, where he handled a wide range of content and programming innovations. Before that, he was the general manager at BBC Worldwide Australia and chief executive of UKTV. He has experience in strategic business development and activity diversification.<\/p>\n

\n\tSharon Ramsay-Luck, ABC Commercial’s head of sales and business development, said, “It’s a thrill to have an industry professional of Tony’s caliber and experience—not to mention integrity and good humor—join us to lead our sales team. We have prioritized the expansion and repositioning of our business over the past few years and I’ve no doubt that Tony will contribute enormously to the continuation of that growth trajectory.”<\/p>\n
