{"id":3389,"date":"2015-04-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-04-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/2015\/04\/09\/miptv-spotlight-cj-em-corporation\/"},"modified":"2015-04-09T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-04-09T00:00:00","slug":"miptv-spotlight-cj-em-corporation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/miptv-spotlight-cj-em-corporation\/","title":{"rendered":"MIPTV Spotlight: CJ E&amp;M Corporation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tCANNES: Two men try to find ingredients to use while living in a secluded countryside in <em>Three Meals a Day<\/em>, which is part of CJ E&amp;M Corporation&rsquo;s formats slate for MIPTV.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&ldquo;Putting the familiar and comfortable city life behind them, the hosts are expected to be the source of much entertainment as they struggle to search for food in the [wilderness] without receiving any help,&rdquo; says Diane Min, the company&rsquo;s senior sales manager. &ldquo;Viewers will be able to enjoy watching the two city bachelors fight to survive in a place that seemingly has nothing.&rdquo; Also being promoted by CJ E&amp;M are <em>I Can See Your Voice<\/em>, which Min describes as &ldquo;an ear-catching, music-entertainment format with a mysterious twist,&rdquo; and <em>The Dish of the Natio<\/em>n, a cooking competition.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAmong the scripted highlights being presented by CJ E&amp;M Corporation at the market in Cannes is <em>Super Daddy Yeol<\/em>, which centers on a sick woman who wants to provide a father figure for her daughter before she passes away. According to Min, the show &ldquo;pulls together wounded, polar-opposite people under the loving shelter of the name &lsquo;family.&rsquo;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe company is also showcasing the second season of <em>Let&rsquo;s Eat<\/em>, following on from the hit food drama that aired last year, in which eating is the universal theme. &ldquo;CJ dramas are not just typical romantic comedies,&rdquo; says Min, who notes that the company&rsquo;s scripted catalogue also contains titles that are edgy and action-packed.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAnother highlight is <em>Family Secrets<\/em>, about a woman who discovers that someone from within her own family kidnapped her daughter. &ldquo;<em>Family Secrets<\/em> is a telenovela and the first Chilean drama to be remade in Korea,&rdquo; says Don Kang, the company&rsquo;s senior sales manager. &ldquo;Propelled by the past success of CJ&rsquo;s telenovela lineup, including <em>Ice<\/em> <em>Adonis<\/em>, [<em>Family Secrets<\/em>] is already seeing increased attention.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe company is also offering up <em>Hogu&rsquo;s Love<\/em>, a drama based on a famous webtoon that Kang says will appeal to young viewers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CANNES: Two men try to find ingredients to use while living in a secluded countryside in Three Meals a Day, which is part of CJ E&amp;M Corporation&rsquo;s formats slate for MIPTV. &ldquo;Putting the familiar and comfortable city life behind them, the hosts are expected to be the source of much entertainment as they struggle to &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[69],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3389","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","","category-top-stories"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>MIPTV Spotlight: CJ E&amp;M Corporation<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"MIPTV Spotlight: CJ E&amp;M Corporation.
