Tarantella will act as the Southeast Asian distribution arm for Atlas International Films, which was recently acquired by Medient.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\n\t\tManu Kumaran, Medient Studio&rsquo;s chairman of the board, commented: &ldquo;Over the last 20 years Tarantella has built a formidable reputation in the region and we are excited by the possibilities that this deal has to offer.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tSharad Sharan, the managing director of Tarantella, and Renu Sharan, the director, said: &ldquo;This venture together with Medient Studios is set to take Malaysian production and Southeast Asian culture to an all new international platform.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR: Tarantella Pictures of Malaysia and the U.S.-based Medient Studios have signed a five-year deal to jointly develop, finance, produce and distribute content for China and the Far East Asian markets.
