{"id":2934,"date":"2013-11-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-11-19T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/2013\/11\/19\/australias-ten-unveils-2014-lineup\/"},"modified":"2013-11-19T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-11-19T00:00:00","slug":"australias-ten-unveils-2014-lineup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/australias-ten-unveils-2014-lineup\/","title":{"rendered":"Australia&#8217;s Ten Unveils 2014 Lineup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tSYDNEY: The programming lineup of Network Ten in Australia for 2014 features five new local series, five international shows and fresh installments of established hits.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tNew Australian series are <em>So You Think You Can Dance Australia<\/em>; <em>Secrets &amp; Lies<\/em>, an event drama that spans TV and online; <em>Party Tricks<\/em>; <em>Lost with the Boys<\/em>, exclusive to tenplay; and a new family entertainment series, details of which will be released soon. Returning local series include <em>The Bachelor Australia<\/em>, <em>MasterChef Australia<\/em>, <em>The Biggest Loser: Challenge Australia<\/em> and others.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tTEN has imported <em>24: Live Another Day<\/em>, the comedy <em>The Millers <\/em>and the drama <em>Crisis<\/em>. Other imports for the network include <em>Extant<\/em>, from CBS Studios and Steven Spielberg, and <em>Tyrant<\/em>, from the original and continuing writers of <em>Homeland<\/em>. Returning acquisitions include <em>NCIS<\/em>, <em>NCIS: Los Angeles<\/em>, <em>Homeland <\/em>and <em>Modern Family<\/em>. <em>Under the Dome <\/em>returns in 2014 and TEN will run it just hours after its U.S. broadcast. Also coming back are <em>Elementary<\/em>, <em>Law &amp; Order: SVU<\/em>, <em>The Good Wife<\/em>, <em>Ripper Street<\/em>, <em>The Graham Norton Show <\/em>and new series from Jamie Oliver and David Attenborough.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAustralia&#039;s longest-running drama series, <em>Neighbours<\/em>, will anchor the prime-time schedule of ELEVEN in its 29th season. ELEVEN, which targets 13- to 29-year-olds, will also feature <em>The Simpsons<\/em>, <em>American Idol<\/em>, <em>The Loop<\/em>, <em>Dexter<\/em>, <em>American Horror Story<\/em>, <em>Nurse Jackie<\/em>, <em>Bob&#039;s Burgers <\/em>and <em>Snog Marry Avoid<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tHamish McLennan, Network Ten&#039;s CEO, said: &ldquo;The new lineup clearly demonstrates TEN&rsquo;s focus on event TV and people aged 25 to 54&mdash;the biggest and most important age group in television&mdash;and represents our strongest start for many years.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t&ldquo;TEN has seen growth in its 25 to 54 audience in recent months. We are already delivering big 25 to 54 audiences in many programs and we are determined to build on that in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t&ldquo;At the same time, ELEVEN will continue to offer compelling content for the 13 to 29 age group and ONE will sharpen its focus on men aged over 25 and sports fans.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t&ldquo;Our new industry-leading digital platform, tenplay, has posted strong growth since it launched on September 30. In 2014, we will be adding new distribution channels, new partners and new content, including Australian content that will be exclusive to tenplay.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tBeverley McGarvey, Network Ten&#039;s chief programming officer, said: &ldquo;Next year, Network Ten will present a revitalized program schedule across all our channels.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t&ldquo;Our aim is simple: to build our already engaged 25 to 54 audience on TEN by giving them premium sport, drama, entertainment, reality and news and information content in a consistent schedule.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t&ldquo;We will build our audience show by show, time slot by time slot.
