\n\tLONDON: NBCUniversal International has appointed Chris Taylor to the newly created post of VP of international television for Australia and New Zealand, effective November 25.<\/p>\n

\n\tTaylor will work out of Sydney under Christine Fellowes, the managing director of Universal Networks International (UNI) APAC, and Justin Che, the senior VP of sales liaison for the APAC region. He will work across UNI and international TV distribution to increase revenues and establish a strong market presence. He will also oversee commercial negotiations, develop and maintain relationships with platforms and customers, and lead the success of channel launches and rebrands.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the past, Taylor has been the managing director of Nine Network—QTQ-9, CEO of Prime Television New Zealand and director of Telstra Media. He most recently served as CEO of Quickflix, an online streaming service in Australia.<\/p>\n

\n\tBelinda Menendez, the president of UNI and international TV distribution, remarked: "We have seen great success in taking an integrated approach to our television business and our clients—including FOXTEL in Australia—have responded with new long-term deals for both channels and content.
