MUMBAI: Sunil Joshi has been upped to head of distribution for BBC Global News in South Asia, while Stanley Fernandes has joined the team to handle BBC Worldwide program sales in the region.

The appointments were announced by Myleeta Aga, BBC Worldwide’s senior VP and general manager for India and content head for Asia. “I am very pleased to have Sunil and Stanley on the team. Sunil has a great depth of relationships in the distribution network and wealth of insights that will help contribute to our next phase of growth in South Asia. Stanley has joined us at a very important time as we move into the new regional structure with strong market focus. Working closely with the BBC Worldwide team on the ground, I am confident that we will be able to maximize the commercial return and brand value for the BBC content."

Joshi previously headed distribution for North and Western India. His new role includes distribution sales of BBC Global News’ product across South Asia. His team includes Sirsendu Chakravarty, Hemang Pathak, Sethuraman Sathyanarayanan and Sandra Fernandes.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Stanley <\/span><\/span>Fernandes comes to BBC Worldwide from Disney Media Distribution. As sales director, he is charged with expanding BBC Worldwide’s program sales to platforms in India.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Both executives are based in Mumbai, reporting to Aga.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
