{"id":2777,"date":"2013-05-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-05-24T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/2013\/05\/24\/fic-expands-presence-in-thailand\/"},"modified":"2013-05-24T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-05-24T00:00:00","slug":"fic-expands-presence-in-thailand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvasia\/fic-expands-presence-in-thailand\/","title":{"rendered":"FIC Expands Presence in Thailand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">HONG&nbsp;KONG: A week after sealing a wide-ranging carriage pact with Thai cable operator CTH,&nbsp;FOX&nbsp;International Channels (FIC) has announced an agreement, encompassing more than 20 channels, with GMM Grammy for its new Z Pay TV platform.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">The new pact kicks off with STAR World launching on Z Pay TV&#8217;s GMM Movie Channel 400 for 12 hours a day. &quot;The programs from STAR World will strengthen GMM Movie Channels,&quot; said Rafa Damrongchaitham, COO of content management at GMM&nbsp;Z.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">&ldquo;It is our pleasure to partner with GMM Grammy,&quot; noted Zubin Gandevia, COO of FIC Asia Pacific and Middle East. &quot;They are leaders in the  Thai entertainment industry and we believe in the potential of our  partnership. We look forward to taking this partnership even further in  the future with possible initiatives such as developing new content for Z  Pay TV.&rdquo;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Last week, FIC announced a deal to bring a host of channels, plus new technology, to fledgling operator CTH.
