SINGAPORE: Vettai<\/em>, a long-form police drama produced for Singapore’s Vasantham, has been picked up for broadcast in Malaysia, on the terrestrial channel NTV7. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The drama, produced by MediaCorp Eaglevision, will begin airing on NTV7 in the second half of the year. The show centers on the lives of five police officers. It stars the popular Vasantham actors Shabir Tabare Alam, Vignesh Wadarajan, Gunalan Morgan, Gayathri Segaran and Sathish Ramesh.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“This new venture marks a milestone for Vasantham and MediaCorp Eaglevision,<\/span><\/span>” said Doreen Neo, the managing director of studios at MediaCorp.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>“<\/span><\/span>The acquisition of Vettai by NTV7 has opened doors for us, and we hope our dramas will be well-received by viewers in Malaysia. We look forward to bringing more programs further beyond the borders of Singapore.<\/span><\/span>”<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Chitra Rajaram, the <\/span><\/span>senior VP of Vasantham, added, “This marks a great opportunity for our local productions to gain exposure in the region. It is part of Vasantham’s continued efforts to mark its footprints in the pan-Asian sphere.” <\/span><\/span>
