International Television Distribution (WBITD) veteran Malcolm Dudley-Smith has been named as the company&rsquo;s senior VP and general manager for the Asia Pacific.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">In his new role, Dudley-Smith will be charged with overseeing the strategic direction of the distribution operations throughout Asia in all television media. He is also expected to help increase the local production strategies and manage the ongoing rollout of the WarnerTV linear branded service in the region. Based in Sydney, Dudley-Smith will work under Jim Brehm, WBITD&rsquo;s senior VP of sales for Canada, the Asia Pacific and Latin America. He is taking over the duties of Greg Robertson, who is departing after nearly three decades of service.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Dudley-Smith had been serving as the studio&rsquo;s executive VP of business management and branded services since 2007. He first joined the company in 1994 as the VP of pay TV and new technology licensing for Europe. He was later elevated to senior VP of pay TV and business development.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">&ldquo;Greg has done an outstanding job growing our business in the region and navigating us through the many changes in the broadcasting landscape during the last decades,&rdquo; said Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, the president of Warner Bros. International Television. &ldquo;We look forward to a seamless transition as Malcolm takes over at a time when our business in Australia and Asia has never been better.
