He will remain the non-executive chairman of REA&nbsp;Group when taking on the new post at Ten. Russel Howcroft, the executive general manager at Network Ten, will act as CEO until McLennan arrives at the company on March 18. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Lachlan Murdoch, the chairman of <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Ten, <\/span><\/span>said: &ldquo;The Board would like to thank James Warburton for his hard work and contribution during what has been a difficult period for the Company and for the broader media sector. He steps down with <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Ten<\/span><\/span>&rsquo;s best wishes.&rdquo;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Murdoch added: &ldquo;The Board is delighted to have been able to attract a world-class CEO with a strong track record to lead <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Ten<\/span><\/span>.&rdquo;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">McLennan commented: &ldquo;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Ten<\/span><\/span> is a media business with a strong balance sheet and excellent staff.
