SYDNEY: SBS International has landed the distribution rights to the feature film Mabo<\/em> and the hit series Classical Destination<\/em>, both of which are being presented by the company this week in Singapore at the ATF.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Starring Deberah Mailman and Jimi Bani, Mabo<\/em> tells the story of Eddie "Koiki" Mabo, a Torres Strait Islander who fought for the land rights of Australia’s indigenous population. The film aired on Australia’s ABC in June.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The company is also showcasing the first two seasons of Classical Destination<\/em>, which explores various locations in Europe to the sound of classical music. The 13×30-minute series is narrated by British actor and music expert Simon Callow.<\/span><\/span>
