BEIJING: The creative team behind the hit series Gossip Girl<\/em> is partnering with Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP), China’s Mei Tian Mei Yu and H&R Century TV, in conjunction with Metan Development Group, to develop a modern teen drama set in China. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Metan and WBITVP will provide consultation on the development and production of the 30×1-hour series. The show is set to debut to Mandarin-speaking audiences in November. The story will follow the lives of the students of the prestigious Shanghai International University, a school of choice for the rich and famous. Each week, the main characters will deal with issues of love and friendship, which all the behind-the-scenes drama is recorded in a blog. Chinese actress Yang Mi (Palace<\/em>) will have a recurring role. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
