The Chinese audience is the number two consumer of videos globally, comScore reports, behind the U.S., where there are some 61.7 billion video views a month, an average of 371 videos per user, as compared with 101 for China.

Youku is the country's dominant online video provider, with 280,975 unique visitors a month, ahead of TENCENT (265,797), Tudou (220,219), Sohu (200,744) and IQiYI (189,441). Other key providers of online video in China are LETV, SINA, Xunlei, Phoenix and 56.com.
