PARIS: 20th Century Fox Television’s reimagining of the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show is slated to be featured as a World Premiere TV Screening at this year’s MIPCOM.

The two-hour made-for-TV remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show stars Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Victoria Justice as Janet, Ryan McCartan as Brad and Adam Lambert as Eddie. The new version sees Tim Curry, the original Frank-N-Furter, serve as the show’s criminologist narrator. It is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and The Jackal Group, and distributed by 20th Century Fox Television Distribution.

The World Premiere TV Screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show will take place in the Palais des Festivals in Cannes on Tuesday, October 18.

Laurine Garaude, the director of Reed MIDEM’s television division, noted: “MIPCOM 2016 is hosting a record six World Premiere TV Screenings, which is a sign that premium content is increasingly driving the industry. We are very excited to be hosting the exclusive premiere of this reboot of one of the most successful movie and stage properties of all time, and proud to be working with such a valuable partner as FOX.”
