NEW YORK: Ricardo Guise, president and publisher of World Screen, has announced the promotions of Mansha Daswani to editor and Kristin Brzoznowski to executive editor.

Daswani has been with World Screen since 2002. In addition to her role as editor of World Screen, she serves as associate publisher, assisting in crafting the company’s overall strategic directives and marketing initiatives. She also manages the production of World Screen’s two biggest issues of the year, for MIPTV and MIPCOM, and oversees a series of premium special reports on the world’s top broadcasters and platforms. She was most recently executive editor.

Brzoznowski joined World Screen in 2008. She oversees the English-language online newsletters, including World Screen Newsflash, and also manages the World Screen Guide, TV Kids Guide, TV Drama Guide and TV Formats Guide. She previously served as managing editor.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce these important promotions,” said Guise. “Mansha and Kristin have been essential to the fantastic growth of our print and online services. Mansha has been with us for 13 years, and during this time she has consistently provided us with insightful advice and an unfailing commitment to excellence. Her ability to be both an accomplished journalist and a strategic thinker has greatly enhanced our position in the marketplace. Kristin has been with us for seven years, and her dedication, professionalism and bright disposition make her an essential part of our family. We are very lucky to benefit from their contribution, and these promotions are meant to acknowledge their accomplishments and increase their involvement in our efforts going forward.”

Anna Carugati will remain group editorial director, leveraging more than 30 years of experience in the business to continue to secure the interviews with high-level executives and talent that have become the trademark of World Screen. “We are extremely fortunate to have two such consummate professionals as Mansha and Kristin step into their new roles,” said Carugati.
