Cartoon Network Adds to Licensing Team

HONG KONG: Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) has named Ilissa Howard as the director of North and South Asia CNE and Asia Pacific production development.

Based in Hong Kong, the newly created post will see Howard take on responsibility for the overall CNE business in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, South Asia and Taiwan. She will manage the local teams in her respective markets and will lead Cartoon Network’s product development initiatives. She will work closely with the creative team on developing new portfolios for Cartoon Network originals, acquisitions and regional properties.

Dulce Lim-Chen, the VP of CNE Asia Pacific to whom Howard will report, commented, “Ilissa joins CNE with a wealth of experience in global merchandising and licensing and in particular the toy industry. We are confident that her extensive knowledge and keen business acumen will further strengthen Cartoon Network’s position as a leading entertainment and lifestyle brand that truly animates kids’ lives and CNE’s position as one of the industry’s leading licensor. Her previous credits include working as the global brand director for Toys R Us and global toy manager at Disney and Mattel/Fisher-Price.
