LONDON: Endemol’s Italian operation has scored a commission from Rai Uno for the Zeppotron comedy game show Odd One In.

The Italian public channel picked up a run for access prime time. Under the local title Colpo D’Occhio- L’Apparenza Inganna, the series is set to launch later this month in a daily slot. The format also recently launched in Germany on RTL in a prime-time slot.

Annabel Jones, the managing director for Zeppotron, said, “Odd One In is a simple but hilarious concept that combines comedy and entertainment in a big studio format. The gentle humor for the whole family can translate easily to audiences in any country as viewers at home play along trying to spot the fakers in a range of weird and wonderful line ups. We’re incredibly excited that a format developed by Zeppotron has been snapped up by major broadcasters in Italy and Germany.”

Paolo Bassetti, the president and managing director for Endemol Italia, added: "After the strong performance of our local adaptations of Deal Or No Deal and Identity, Endemol Italia is ready for a new challenge: adapting for the first time the hit format Odd One In from a prime time show to a daily stripped access prime time series."
