Dr. Oz Sells Internationally

LOS ANGELES/LONDON: Sony Pictures Television and Harpo Productions have secured sales for both the finished series and format of the daytime talk show The Dr. Oz Show in a number of territories outside the U.S.

The U.S. version of the series has now been sold to broadcasters in 82 territories, including Korea, Hungary, Latin America, the Middle East, New Zealand, Romania, Russia and Turkey. The format has been licensed to MBC in the Middle East and to Rossiya in Russia.

“Dr. Oz’s broad appeal is demonstrated by the range of territories that have embraced the show,” stated Keith Le Goy, the president of international distribution at SPT. “His unique ability to develop strong connections with viewers makes The Dr. Oz Show an attractive property for our international broadcasters.”
