2014 Sir Peter Ustinov Television Scriptwriting Award Open for Entries

NEW YORK: The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is accepting entries for this year's Sir Peter Ustinov Television Scriptwriting Award, which is open to writers under 30 from outside the U.S.

The competition is designed to motivate writers under the age of 30 from outside of the U.S. and offer them recognition and encouragement that might lead to a career in scriptwriting. The winning scriptwriter will be flown to New York City and presented with a $2,500 prize at the International Emmy World Television Festival on November 22, 2014. The winning script will be read by actors in front of an audience at the festival. Winners will also be invited to take part in the red carpet festivities at the 42nd International Emmy Awards on November 24.

The deadline for submissions in July 1.
