About: Pedro Felix Leda started the Ledafilms S.A. television distribution and production company in Buenos Aires in mid 1974. In 1998 Ledafilms-IIT became the exclusive sales agent for DreamWorks International Distribution LLC. In late 2005, Viacom acquired DreamWorks SKG, a U.S. conglomerate that owned several companies including Paramount Pictures. Consequently, Ledafilms-IIT extended its sales agency agreement to include the distribution for Latin America free television Paramount’s theatrical new productions in addition to an extensive library that includes over 1,600 pictures. In May 2008 Ledafilms-IIT were appointed by Lucasfilm Ltd. as exclusive sales agents for distribution in Latin America free television for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. International Distribution Company, IDC, which, in joint venture with Summit Entertainment, had a phenomenal success with the theatrical and video distribution in Latin America of box office hits such as the Twilight saga. With the goal to replicate this successful story also on Latin American TV, IDC appointed in early 2010 Ledafilms-IIT to help achieve this goal. At the same time, Ledafilms is the sales agent for Videx International, a company with almost 40 years of distribution experience, mostly for U.S. produced pictures, miniseries, series and specials. In the last quarter of 2009 Ledafilms-IIT reached an agreement with Exim to jointly form BondiBand LLC. Exim has a successful track record of decades specializing in licensing, merchandising and production of character-based theater plays for children. BondiBand LLC finalized production of a 52 episodes animated series, 12 minutes per episode, for worldwide media distribution, including the international exploitation of all licensing, merchandising and ancillary rights arising out of this production. The series is presently airing on Disney XD in Latin America, while at the same time it has been licensed to all major free TV players in the region.
