Video Interview with Nordic Entertainment Group’s Jakob Mejlhede

Jakob Mejlhede, executive VP, group head of content for Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group), spoke to World Screen about the strategy for Viaplay originals, the role that U.S. content plays on NENT Group’s channels and platforms, and the appetite for entertainment formats.

Earlier this year, it was announced that MTG would be split into two companies. The new corporate brand Nordic Entertainment Group will officially begin operating as a separate organization from July 1.

NENT Group’s pay-TV assets encompass the Viasat channels and satellite platform, as well as the Viaplay streaming service in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Within free TV, NENT Group comprises TV3, TV3+, TV3 PULS, TV3 MAX and TV3 Sport in Denmark; TV3, Viasat4 and TV6 in Norway; TV3, TV6, TV8 and TV10 in Sweden; and the Viafree streaming service in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. It operates 30 production companies in 17 countries, in addition to radio stations and more.
