PARIS: Among the highlights planned for MIPTV 2017 are the Digital Fronts, which will showcase a new generation of content creators, including VICE Media, AwesomenessTV, Jukin Media and more.

The Digital Fronts will be held in Cannes from April 3 to 6 during MIPTV. The Digital Fronts launched in 2014 as the content industry’s first global distribution and acquisition market for high-quality, original online productions and web series. The purpose of the event is to bridge the gap between the online video ecosystem and the traditional entertainment content sector. Jukin Media and Zoomin Studios, the new production arm of MTG’s Zoomin, will participate in the Digital Fronts for the first time. These companies will join returning digital players AwesomenessTV, New Form, Studio71 and VICE Media.

MIPTV will also feature a spotlight on brands at the forefront of content creation that have launched their own studios. The session titled “Turning Brands into Content Studios” that will be held on Tuesday, April 4, and will feature David Beebe, the VP of global creative and content marketing, Marriott International; Valeriya Tsygankova, project manager at Wargaming; and Lou Arbetter, the general manager of PepsiCo Content Studio.
