Tyler Moody and Alex Gonzalez have been appointed at Turner Content Distribution (TCD), Turner’s domestic distribution and marketing division.

Moody will head the newly created department as VP and general manager of Turner Podcast Network, while Gonzalez becomes senior VP of brand distribution. Both executives will work out of Atlanta under Jennifer Mirgorod, the executive VP of brand distribution.

In his new post, Moody will lead the company’s efforts on developing and creating a portfolio-wide network of podcasts across Turner’s news, sports and entertainment brands. He will handle publishing and production efforts, among other duties. He previously served as VP at CNN Newsource Sales.

Gonzalez will supervise all account management functions for Turner’s major domestic distribution clients. He is expected to increase revenue, marketing and production opportunities, while expanding linear and on-demand content distribution. Before this appointment, Gonzalez was senior VP of corporate development and digital media for Turner Latin America.

“Tyler’s innovative and strategic vision helped create a centralized department to spearhead podcasting for the company that will help produce strategic, 360-degree brand extension opportunities for Turner’s leading networks and brands,” said Mirgorod. “I’m confident Tyler will successfully grow Turner’s footprint in the podcast space to bring new and original content to our fans.”

“Alex is an experienced leader whose extensive and diverse skillset will be imperative in helping to set the strategy for our future partnership opportunities with our distribution partners,” added Mirgorod. “He brings thoughtful oversight as well as superb leadership and management skills into this role, and I’m confident he will be a major contributor to Turner’s monetization growth moving forward.”
