NEW YORK: The TV Land original sitcom The Exes has been renewed for a second season, which is slated for a June premiere alongside the network’s new Cedric "The Entertainer" comedy Have Faith.

The Exes stars Kristen Johnston (3rd Rock From the Sun) as Holly, a divorce attorney who introduces her newly single client, played by David Alan Basche (The Starter Wife), to her roommates. Donald Faison (Scrubs) plays ladies’ man Phil, while Wayne Knight (Seinfeld, Hot in Cleveland) plays a homebody. Rounding out the cast is Kelly Stables (Two and a Half Men) who plays Holly’s assistant. The show brought in an average audience of 1.5 million total viewers to date.

Season two will debut alongside Have Faith (working title), TV Land’s new original sitcom, starring Cedric "The Entertainer" and Niecy Nash.

"The Exes has proven to be an excellent addition to our prime-time lineup," said Larry W. Jones, the president of TV Land. "This cast of seasoned comedy performers and a writing team led by Mark Riesman are what keep our viewers coming back week after week. We can’t wait to get started on the second season."
