UNIVERSAL CITY: NBC has unveiled premiere dates for new and returning series for its summer lineup, including Love in the Wild, among others.

NBC is adding Saving Hope, the new, hour-long original drama series, to its lineup. The series stars Erica Durance (Smallville), Michael Shanks (Stargate Atlantis), Daniel Gillies (The Vampire Diaries), Huse Madhavji (Combat Hospital, Star!) Julia Taylor-Ross (Rookie Blue) and Kristopher Turner (Rookie Blue, The Listener). In it, a chief of surgery ends up in a coma and lives his life in spirit form. It is produced by Ilana C. Frank Films with Entertainment One (eOne), in association with CTV and NBC.

Comedian/actress Jenny McCarthy (Two and a Half Men, Singled Out) is to host NBC’s adventure-dating series Love in the Wild, which returns to NBC with a second season. The series puts relationships to the ultimate test with exhilarating adventures that push participants to the limit. It is produced by Endemol USA.

In addition, G4 and NBC are teaming up to air American Ninja Warrior, the obstacle course competition series with a nationwide search to find the ultimate athlete who will be crowned “American Ninja Warrior” and a prize of $500,000. The networks collaborated with the original Japanese broadcaster, Tokyo Broadcasting System Television (TBS), to bring the competitive course over to the U.S. Over the past 15 years, only three competitors have successfully completed the infamous Ninja Warrior course atop Mount Midoriyama in Japan. G4 will air the preliminary rounds while NBC will broadcast the preliminary finals and the grand finale.
