Among the TV movies on offer from A+E Networks are the biopics Cocaine Godmother and Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland.

Lifetime titles, in particular, feature strong female characters. “So less [women] being the victim and more taking the role of heroine and being the makers of their own destinies,” says Helen Jurado, the senior director of content sales for the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets. “We’re doing some package deals for our movies, and we expect that to continue having momentum over the next couple of markets.”

The company is also promoting event-viewing programming, including the A&E hit Live PD. “That’s the sort of content that our viewers in Latin America are looking for, and it still retains that live feel—no matter when you put it on the air,” says Jurado.

Other highlights span such genres as religion and sports, with History of Football: The Greatest Story Ever Played being an example of the latter.
