ITV Studios America Adds to Creative Team

LOS ANGELES: ITV Studios America has tapped Jerry Bruckheimer Television alum Michael Azzolino as its executive VP of creative affairs.

Azzolino will take on the new role beginning June 13, overseeing development and current operations for the growing roster of scripted television programming produced by ITV Studios in the U.S. He will be based in Los Angeles and report to Philippe Maigret, the president of ITV Studios America.

Most recently, Azzolino was the senior VP at Jerry Bruckheimer Television. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of new project development, pilots and current series production. He worked with the company’s production partners, including Warner Bros. Television, CBS Television Studios and many broadcast, cable and streaming networks. His credits include series such as Lucifer, the CSI franchise, Hostages, Without a Trace, Cold Case, Dark Blue and most recently CBS’s upcoming drama Training Day. Azzolino began his career at NBC.

“Michael will bring with him deep relationships in the creative community and his considerable experience in the development and production of hit television programming,” said Maigret. “I am thrilled that he will be joining the ITV Studios America team as we build a creatively and commercially ambitious scripted TV business.”
