Hulu Owners to Buy Out Providence Equity Stake

LOS ANGELES: Providence Equity Partners is said to be in talks to sell its 10-percent share in Hulu to its major shareholders: News Corp., The Walt Disney Company and Comcast Corporation.

The deal is valued at around $200 million for the 10-percent stake. Providence originally bought the shares in 2007 for $100 million.

Last week Providence revealed that it is investing around $200 million into Peter Chernin’s the Chernin Group.
