GolTV has inked a multiyear deal to air live matches from Liga NOS, Portugal’s leading soccer league, also known as Primeira Liga.

Under the agreement, GolTV has the exclusive rights for all Liga NOS games in both English and Spanish beginning in August with the start of the 2017-18 soccer season. GolTV will air around 150 live weekly matches per season, including from such teams as Benfica FC, Porto and Sporting CP. GolTV has been broadcasting Benfica home games since 2014.

“We are very excited about the new upcoming Liga NOS season and the expansion of our partnership,” said Rodrigo Lombello, the CEO of GolTV. “Our viewers will soon be able to watch all of their favorite teams and match-ups on GolTV. We’ve become the go-to network for all Portuguese soccer fans.”

“GolTV has always been a live sports broadcast leader, constantly bringing value and top-ranking content to their media partners and viewers at home,” said Nuno Ferreira, the director of programming at SportTV Portugal. “We are thrilled to have GolTV on board as the new home of Liga NOS.”
