LOS ANGELES: Joe Earley, a longtime FOX executive, has been appointed president of The Jackal Group, founded by Gail Berman.

Earley and Berman worked together at Fox Broadcasting, when Earley served as president of the network. Earley spent more than two decades at the company, most recently as chief operating officer for Fox Television Group. Prior to that, Earley was COO of Fox Broadcasting Company, and before that he was president of marketing and communications for the network.

The Jackal Group currently has the comedy series Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life and Easiest Game Show Ever on the air at FOX and Pop, respectively. The company is also currently in pre-production on The Rocky Horror Picture Show. In development, The Jackal Group has Horrorstör based on Grady Hendrix’s novel of the same name, which received a put pilot commitment from FOX, and The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, adapted from Marie Kondo’s best-selling book, set up at NBC.

Berman said: “I am thrilled to welcome Joe at a time when The Jackal Group is experiencing the kind of measurable creative and operational surge that will benefit from his expertise and overall presence. Plus, Joe is an exceptional leader with a sharp eye for terrific content, and he possesses a special ability of inspiring those around him with seeming ease. I am so happy to have him as a friend and creative partner as we continue to build the company.”

Earley commented: “Joining The Jackal Group not only reunites me with my friend Gail, who inspires creators to infuse great projects with the innovation and commercial appeal this market needs, but also allows me to fully blend my creative pursuits with the operational and marketing experience that will help this business grow. In such a short time The Jackal Group has achieved an impressive level of excellence and accomplishment—from film to television and even theater, and I cannot wait to be part of the team.”
