Erik Huggers, who has served as the president and CEO of Vevo since 2015, has decided to step down, with Alan Price taking over as interim CEO, adding to his current role as CFO.

Vevo’s board of directors said, “We would like to thank Erik for his hard work, dedication and leadership at Vevo, which grew dramatically during his tenure and helped forge stronger connections between artists and fans through popular features and original programming.”

Huggers came to the company after having served as senior VP at Verizon Communications, where he was also president of the recently acquired OnCue business. Prior to that, Huggers developed OnCue at Intel, where he was president of the company’s media division from 2011 to 2014. Before Intel, he was an executive board member responsible for the BBC’s future media and technology division, where he launched BBC iPlayer. He has also held senior roles at Microsoft Corp. and at Endemol.

Prior to joining the Vevo team, Price was senior VP of finance and operations for Sony Music Entertainment’s Columbia/Epic Label Group.
