EPIX Makes New Hire in Original Programming Push

EPIX has appointed industry veteran Laura Sher as the executive VP and head of business and legal affairs for original programming.

Sher will be charged with supervising the negotiation and execution of all aspects of business agreements related to EPIX original scripted and unscripted programming. She brings more than 17 years of industry experience to EPIX. Sher most recently worked at Cowen, DeBaets, Abraham & Sheppard, where she was a partner in the entertainment practice. She will report to EPIX’s president, Michael Wright, and MGM’s chief legal officer, Lesley Freeman.
