LOS ANGELES: Emiliano Calemzuk has left his post as the CEO of Shine Americas.

Calemzuk is planning to take a temporary break from the day-to-day executive duties, a departure which is "amicable" according to Shine Group’s announcement. The team at Shine America will now report to Carl Fennessy, the CEO of Shine Group USA. The release also said that there are no immediate plans to replace Calemzuk.

Elisabeth Murdoch, Shine Group’s CEO and chairman, said: "Emiliano has had a transformative effect on Shine’s U.S. operations since joining in 2010. In restructuring Reveille and establishing Shine Americas he has created an incredible team, equipped to now build on the successes to date and committed to future growth. He will be missed but I respect his request to take time off and wish him the very best in doing so."

Calemzuk added: "I have very much enjoyed my time at the Shine Group and am very proud of the quality of the management team now in place in the Americas. I am thankful to all my colleagues at Shine and News Corporation for the privilege of working together and for their mentorship and collaboration these years. After a fast-paced and fulfilling decade and a half in executive management roles across business lines and continents I am ready to start a new chapter in my life after travelling this summer with my family."
