AMC Orders More Hell on Wheels

LOS ANGELES/TORONTO: The Entertainment One (eOne)-produced series Hell on Wheels has been renewed for a second season on AMC.

The series was developed by Endemol USA and produced by eOne and Nomadic Pictures. Endemol USA holds television distribution rights for the series across Europe and eOne handles rights in all remaining territories, as well as worldwide rights for DVD/Blu-ray, VOD and digital distribution. Hell on Wheels is about a Confederate soldier (Anson Mount) seeking revenge on the Union soldiers who have killed his wife, and also features the construction of the first transcontinental railroad. The series stars Mount (City by the Sea, Cook County), Common (Just Wright, Date Night), Colm Meaney (Get Him to the Greek) and Dominique McElligott (The Philanthropist).

eOne Television International recently sold the series to a number of key international broadcasters, including Fox and ABC2 in Australia, Sky New Zealand, HBO in Latin America, Sundance Channel Asia, DBS Yes in Israel and Fox Africa.
 Hell on Wheels’ season one finale is set to air on January 15.
